AIDS EDUCATION
MURAL PROJECT

Senegal, West Africa

Peace Corps Volunteers in the Fouta (northern river region) of Senegal, West Africa, created a non-traditional method of presenting AIDS information to illiterate rural residents. A pictoral series of 12 images painted in mural form on schools, health posts, and telecenters illustrates the impact of AIDS on a typical Pulaar family.
