Salted Nut Roll

1 7 oz jar marshmallow creme
1 ts vanilla
3 c. confectioner's sugar
1 lb caramels
9 c. chopped nuts

Combine marshmellow creme & vanilla. Add sugar gradually. (May have to knead.) Shape into about 1 inch in diameter rolls. Wrap in plastic wrap and freeze for at least 6 hrs. Melt caramels over hot water; keep warm. Dip candy rolls in caramel, then roll in nuts until well coated. Store cooled candy in a covered container. Makes 5 lbs.
