Chocolate Caramel Bars

1 14-oz bag caramels (approx. 50)
1 box German Choc Cake Mix (pudding added is okay)
1 can evap milk (will not use all of it)
1 stick butter ( cup)
1 lg bag choc chips

Mix together by hand:

all of cake mix
cup butter
1/3 c evap milk

Pat half of above mixture into Pamd 9x13 pan.  Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes

Melt all of caramels with 1/3 cup evap milk (In microwave, 3-4 mins on high)
Pour caramel over baked crust.
Sprinkle bag of choc chips over caramel.
Take the remaining half of cake mixture and crumble it over the top -- no need for great artistry. (This will not cover the area solidly.)

Bake for another 10 minutes at 350 degrees.
Cool and then cut.
